my housekeeping style can best be described as

there appears to have been a struggle

i think 'why should i even get organized' is one of the best questions you can ask yourself before starting a new organization project. is it to have the perfect pinteret or instagram picture?  no.  is it to please your mother?  nope (sorry mom!) for me, it boils down to a very simple reason - to make my life easier.  and i'm betting that's the ultimate goal you're after as well.

now, 'easier' means whatever 'easier' means for you!  it could mean that you no longer panic when your mom shows up unannounced on your porch.  or it could mean that you can find what you're looking for, when you're looking for it (i've found all kinds of interesting things when i've turned the house upside-down looking for my keys.)  it might mean that you no longer stand in front of the fridge at 5:00 wondering what you're going to concoct for dinner.  'easier' just means you have more peace and less stress in your life.

so don't worry if your 'organized' doesn't look like my 'organized' or like marie kondo's 'organized' or pinterest's 'organized.'  do you have more peace and less stress?  if yes, then your 'organized' is organized.

cartwheel over to the blog and read about the 4 different kinds of organizers.  there's a fun little quiz (no studying required), and some tips on creating an organizing system that works only to make your life easier.  no pinterest comparisons necessary!
